Prime Covent Garden restaurant opportunity sold to international vegan restaurant group By Chloe
Client
Good Food Society
Brief
To dispose a prime Covent Garden shell restaurant unit for a premium.
Process
The Good Food Society assigned to leases in close proximity on Russell Street and Rupert Street. The strategic decision was made to focus on opening only one restaurant rather than the two. Having have acted for Good Food Society on the letting of this building we were instructed to dispose the site as a matter of urgency in order to allow the in coming assignee to benefit from the existing rent free period.
With the site being very close to Covent Garden’s Market Piazza in an area that is visited by millions of tourists each year we knew that the site would be of interest to London and International operators looking for a flagship West End restaurant.
We contacted several of these operators and other established London restaurant agents in a targeted marketing campaign and received offers not long after the beginning of the marketing campaign.
Result
4,822 Sq Ft flagship restaurant assigned to American vegan restaurant By Chloe owned by celebrity chef Chloe Kay Coscarelli for their first international flagship store in London
Address
By Chloe, 34-36 Russell Street, London, WC2
